Counsellor & Clinical Supervisor
I hold a Graduate Diploma in Professional Counselling from the University of Central Lancashire, since qualifying in 2008 I have gained experience of working with adults, families, couples and children & adolescents.
I am an integrative counsellor that means I adapt to your unique needs depending on your personal preference and presenting problem. I offer you a safe, non judgemental space for us to work together to explore the best way to heal, understand and move forward. My specialist area of work is trauma therapy and Inner child healing.
As a supervisor I offer a safe space that is professional and without judgement for you to bring your client work to reflect and explore your practice.
As a counsellor I aim to offer a warm, safe and non-judgemental space for you to explore any issues/dilemma’s that may be important, upsetting or distressing to you at this present time.
I work as an integrative counsellor, which means that I combine ideas and insights drawn from different counselling theories in order to tailor my counselling sessions to the needs of the individual.
I am trained to listen, I will not judge you, tell you what you must do or try to fix things. Instead it is my aim to offer you the space to untangle your thoughts and feelings in order for you to see your own way forward more clearly.
This approach supports my philosophy that each person is unique and therefore no one approach suits all. I believe that we all have the answers inside ourselves. We are our own specialists and have the potential for growth and change

Are you struggling with stress, anxiety or depression? Are you finding it too much to deal will a loss, separation, traumatic event in your life? Are you worried about your child or teenager?
I am Cristina, a person-centred counsellor who integrates CBT, solution-focused, spiritual counselling and creative therapy techniques and theory to support each individual specific healing process.
I have over 12 years of experience working with children and young people who are having difficulty with a sudden change in their life (death, move, separation, substance misuse in family, etc.), who are showing signs of suffering but find it hard to talk about what is affecting them.
I also have training and experience in working with people who are caring full time for someone else and with people who suffer from depression, identity crisis, anxiety, trauma, anger, stress, grief, existential emptiness, amongst other difficulties.
I have offered therapeutic processes to men and women in highly emotionally demanding roles such as teachers, project workers in charities, full time carers, nurses, parents/carers of children, student counsellors, supporting them in working through their specific distress so they can continue to support the people they are responsible for with a clearer mind, more peace and renewed energy.
